Rocfuel
The main focus of the UK Government’s Energy White Paper (May 2007) was to reduce carbon emissions; it was particularly supportive towards renewable energy.
The UK is already progressing from a dependence on energy derived exclusively from fossil fuels to a point where more of its energy mix is being supplied by a range of renewable fuels.
Rocfuel specialises in the sourcing and provision of a wide range of bio-mass fuels for the renewable energy market and offers a full logistics service through parent company Hargreaves Services plc.
Rocfuel serves the following key market segments:
- Co-firing bio-mass with fossil fuels
- Dedicated bio-mass power plants
- The use of Waste Wood & Refuse-Derived Fuel in both CHP & non-CHP mode
- Distributed generation using liquid bio-fuels in both CHP & non-CHP mode
- Industrial Heat & Power
- Domestic heating units with Rocfuel branded pellets
Rocfuel supplies fuel either as a principal or on an agency basis depending on the customer’s requirements and the fuel source. To maintain control of quality and reliability throughout, we also fully manage the logistics to suit customer specifications. On all occasions, Rocfuel will be the customer’s single point of contact.
Using the Hargreaves’ import facilities at Immingham and Newport, Rocfuel has unrivalled access to the widest range of both indigenous and imported products.
The financial strength provided by the Hargreaves Group gives our bio-mass customers greater confidence in the long term sustainability of supply - an important consideration in a relatively new and fast developing market.
