Evonik/ HCCPL

Hargreaves Coal Combustion Products Limited (HCCP) was formed in May 2003 and in 2009 became a joint venture company with Evonik Power Minerals.

HCCP offer ash management, sales and marketing services to the coal-fired power generation industry.

Although, HCCP’s business is concentrated primarily in the UK, the group is involved in projects throughout Europe.

At the present time HCCP has ash sales agency and management arrangements in place at eight UK coal-fired power stations, and is well placed to service all of the UK with product.

HCCP is currently based at Drax Power Station which as the largest coal-fired power station in the UK (and Europe), produces around 1.5 million tonnes of ash each year.

HCCP is involved in the sale of around 1.5 million tonnes of coal ash in the UK each year.

As well as offering services for the sale and marketing of coal ash, HCCP is able to offer services associated with the handling and management of ash whether this is to sale, temporary stockpile or permanent disposal.  In so doing, HCCP’s objectives are to ensure that all ash handling and management takes place by methods that are both cost effective and environmentally friendly.
