Hargreaves Services plc and all its subsidiary companies fully understand the potential we have to impact upon the communities in which we operate.
We recognise the significance of our local communities and our businesses are encouraged to support the particular needs of their neighbours by, where possible and appropriate, contributing to local charities and participating in community initiatives.
Above and beyond our normal community commitments, we have also established three specific Community Funds, focused on our operations at Maltby and Monckton in Yorkshire, and our Head Office in County Durham.
These Community Funds are good examples of true community partnerships. Local residents sit side-by-side with Hargreaves employees and together they assess and make grants to community projects.

Hargreaves’ community support does not stop with simply making cash donations; our support also takes the form of providing employee time and skills, and gifts in kind.
As noted in our Annual Report, the Hargreaves Group made charitable donations of £69,807 in 2008. Hargreaves continues to support all of our employees and businesses in finding new ways of becoming involved to help their communities.
