Monckton Rubber Technologies have the capacity to receive waste car and truck tyres at its Sheffield production facility and can accept in the region of 40,000 tonnes annually.

The process involves the primary shredding of the whole tyres with the resultant shred being passed through an ambient granulation process, producing a range of crumb rubber sizes that are subsequently marketed and sold to a variety of end-user markets. Current markets include the sports turf industry, soil enhancement, children’s play surfacing, carpet industry, leisure, decorative tile market and equestrian use. |

MRT can manufacture a range of crumb rubber sizes, specific to customer requirements. 3 core products are manufactured, 0.5 to 2.0mm, 2.0 to 6.0mm and Equestrian Grade rubber at nominally 15-20mm. These products can be supplied in either 1 tonne bulk bags mounted on pallets, or in 25kg bags, with 40 to a pallet, or loose.
Different markets and countries take different packaging, for instance in the UK, 2.0 to 6.0mm is supplied in 25kg bags, whereas internationally, customers prefer this product in 1 tonne bulk bags.
All products are sold by the tonne, based on either an ex. Works, Sheffield UK basis or we are happy to arrange delivery direct to any named Port or final destination throughout the world. |
