The UK Government's Energy White Paper published in May 2007 stated the following aim: “To put ourselves on a path to cutting the UK's carbon dioxide emissions the main contributor to global warming by some 60% by 2050 with real progress by 2020.” The White Paper's main focus is on the reduction of carbon emissions and it focuses on all the elements of the energy mix. It is particularly supportive of the renewal energy industry and to assist that development, a new ROC banding scheme will be introduced from April 2009.
It is this environment and a view on forward electricity prices that drives and influences the present market and individual investment decisions. It is within this market that Rocfuel operates. The focus of Rocfuel, is to provide a range of fuels, a full logistics service via businesses operated by our parent company. Rocfuel also provides a range of consultancy services, particularly to the developing renewable heat and distributed generation sector.
