Hargreaves have an established track record of full service provision throughout the UK. Through a joint venture, Hargreaves Raw Material Services, Hargreaves has now developed a base in Europe with the opening of an office in Duisburg near Düsseldorf.
The combined European market now represents a significant growth area for the group, especially in the solid fuel and refractory minerals sectors. For example, demand for foundry coke is some twenty times greater than in the UK.
The planned development of power generation plants throughout the EC means that customers will increasingly be looking for partners who can supply, handle, process and deliver the large volumes required to fuel their operations.
The Hargreaves model has been proven over the past decade and its success story is starting to be mirrored in Europe.
The Port of Rotterdam provides the main gateway for Hargreaves Raw Material Services to enter mainland Europe from sources as diverse as China, Russia, South Africa and Australia.
Using elements of the existing Group infastructure, and in partnership with our growing European customer base, Hargreaves is now planning to duplicate the full support service that has been developed in the UK.
